School Lunches

Nutritiously delicious school meals are available for our pupils each day, cooked by our excellent kitchen staff right here on the premises. Our school dinner provider is CH&CO. The price for a school dinner is £2.70. Payments can be made online, click the button below to book and pay for your child’s school meals.

For any queries please contact the kitchen on 07795290405. Alternatively, you can contact CH&CO via email, which is schoolmealordering@pabulum-catering.co.uk

It is important that we have up to date information about specific allergies or food dislikes as this helps to avoid any embarrassment to your child. If there are any changes to your children’s dietary requirements, please contact the school office.

Packed lunches

Children may bring a packed lunch to school if this is preferred, and this will be eaten in the dining room. Packed lunches should include a non-fizzy drink in a suitable container. Straws and spoons should be supplied from home if these are required. Lunches are stored on the trolley located in the main corridor at the start of the day. The trolley will then be removed until lunchtime. Please ensure that any snack intended for break-time is removed from the lunchbox.

Breaktime snacks

We encourage a small healthy snack to be brought e.g. fruit or vegetable and eaten in the playground. Please be aware of the difficulties in peeling oranges! No Chocolate, Sweets, Crisps, Nuts or Chewing gum are allowed as this is intended to be a healthy energy boost for your child and we aspire to be a nut free school. We participate in the Healthy Schools initiative of free fruit for the infant children, and the cool milk scheme.

Why is healthy eating important?

A balanced diet is essential for good health and vitality. By eating well at lunchtime, pupils gain a host of benefits, both short and long-term. As a school we take seriously our responsibilities and we believe that we make a positive contribution to both the “Every Child Matters” agenda and the “Healthy Schools Award”.

The Government’s aim is for every child, whatever their background or their circumstances to have the support they need to:

  • Be healthy
  • Stay Safe
  • Enjoy and Achieve
  • Make a positive contribution
  • Achieve economic wellbeing
