We are a values led, family oriented school in Canterbury with a strong community ethos. I am so proud to be the Headteacher of this caring community of learners with a fantastic staff team, dedicated Governors, supportive parents and most of all, happy and engaged children.
Over the last couple of years, we have been developing our Blean Curriculum Tree. Our vision is to shape children to be physically and mentally healthy, have a love for learning, be ready for the future, be morally and socially responsible, gain high outcomes and leave Blean Primary with many happy memories.

May 19th, 2026Please ensure that they come to school in their Forest School kit, bringing their uniform in a bag to change into after the session has finished.
Evergreens Forest School
May 19th, 2026On Tuesday 19th May, Year 2 are being visited by a local newly published author, Helen Rice.
Helen will be giving a reading her new book, which celebrates resilience and features Tyrone the Tortoise who will also be visiting the school.
Resilience is one of our school values and the book contains information about what animals need to survive and how they change over time. This underpins the learning the children have recently experienced in their Science curriculum.
After school there will be an opportunity to purchase a signed copy of the book at the cost of £5 (cash only please) and meet Tyrone the Tortoise. There are 30 copies available so the books will be sold on a first come first served basis. This will take place in the school hall from 3:30- 3:50.
We look forward to welcoming Helen (and Tyrone) to our school.
