On behalf of the children, staff and Governors, I welcome you to Blean Primary School.
We are a values led, family oriented school in Canterbury with a strong community ethos. I am so proud to be the Headteacher of this caring community of learners with a fantastic staff team, dedicated Governors, supportive parents and most of all, happy and engaged children.
Over the last couple of years, we have been developing our Blean Curriculum Tree. Our vision is to shape children to be physically and mentally healthy, have a love for learning, be ready for the future, be morally and socially responsible, gain high outcomes and leave Blean Primary with many happy memories.
Please have a look around our amazing school by viewing the different sections on our website!
Ian Rowden
Headteacher
Children can come to school in their own clothes on this day – you can wear spots like Pudsey if you would like to. We will be visited by the Dance Dash from Herne Bay High again – the children are always amazed by their brilliant dance moves. Please send in a donation to Children in Need if you can.

November 14th, 2025We are excited to let you know that the preschool children will be taking part in a Sponsored Welly Walk on Friday 14th November to help raise money for BBC Children in Need.
The children will be enjoying a lovely walk around the school fields in their wellies, exploring the outdoors while supporting a great cause.
Please make sure your child has:
• A pair of wellies in school
• A waterproof coat to keep them warm and dry
If you would like to make a donation, you can do so directly via the BBC Children in Need website at: https://donate.bbcchildreninneed.co.uk/
